Over the decades, I've created a persona, a mask, an algorithm to pass in public, and it's worked pretty well.

But I still don't get the subtle cues, or when to keep my mouth shut about things that could hurt me, physically or socially.

He's not the only one.

Many, many musicians of the Golden Age of 70's rock were. They passed around underage girls like books, or whatever trivial item you can think of.

Nugent and Page got legal guardianship from the parents of girls so they wouldn't be arrested.

They're just indoctrinated to obey a male authority figure, and they're afraid. And that fear is reinforced by the media they consume.

I pity them, in a way, but they're dangerous.

And now I'm 54, and a lot of white dudes, to this day, fish to see if I'm on "The Team."

I'm not, and never will be.

I'm white, and grew up in the era when most black folks were afraid.

Just stating facts. My father was probably in the Klan, his racism was to the point of insanity.

But due to my ADHD, I went to work in manual labor after High School.

That's when I learned we're all the same. An epiphany.

Yeah, we're not all married to our sisters, and believe aliens cause tornados.

I live in a college town.

You know, with the math doctors, 'n shit.

In the late 90's, I knew 2 guys who heard the Oasis brothers liked to start shit and scrap, and they wanted to get backstage to fight them.

I was like "OK... but why..."

I never got an answer.

I was railroaded, and sabotaged until I quit, which was intended.

In fairness, my boss's boss called me to what I assume was an attempt to bring me back, because I kicked ass and the IT role I brought.

But yeah, I was working at Klan General Hospital.

Oh, I went to work a hospital in a small rural town in the Deep South.

I made friends with the lady who ran the lab, a black lady, highly intelligent who had been in the Peace Corps.

She warned me "This won't go well here..."

Meaning the work place.

Within in 2 weeks, I knew she was right.

Be vigilant, and be careful.
