It's crazy to me how iOS and Android are both missing the respective features. On iOS you can't block calls from people with no caller id. On android you can't block calls from unknown numbers... 🤦‍♂️

I have an airtag hidden away behind the battery compartment of mine, that works quite nice and can't super easily be taken out on the fly. But it's a pain to replace once the battery runs out, obviously.

Sorry if this sounds more confrontational than it's intended, but I've seen this come up quite often in recent times where Linux advocates recommend arch forks to people trying to make a switch from Windows instead of just recommending tried and tested distros ultimately resulting in frustration.

Linux doesn't expect anything. It's a kernel. I'd suggest to try mainstream distros first if you want the mainstream experience. Not some obscure arch Linux fork. But I saw that you're on to try fedora next, so that's a good first step.

MS doesn't require changes because they were the major driving force for secure boot. It's costly and resource intensive to maintain the signing infra to make secure boot work that's why small distros don't support it. All major distros (Fedora, Ubuntu, RHEL, Debian, etc.) support it at this point.
