There are necessary & logical exceptions to crimes like possessing CASM. For example, how could (good, honest) LEOs/Justice prosecute such crimes w/o having the evidence?

It's also normally a crime to have kilos of coke, but police must confiscate & process it to do their jobs.

I'm in favor of real-time factchecks - I wish for it SO MUCH. But the 'how' is daunting - esp. when leaders can veer into unexpected topics or make new surprising claims at any time.

1 major news agency (ABC?) tried to fact-check US Pres debate in slightly slower than realtime. It took a huge team weeks of prep w/ an array of experts overseeing specific narrow subjects, and still wasn't perfect or realtime, even w/ prearranged topics!

Trump is worse than most, ofc.

Or a claim cannot technically be *disproven*, despite having no evidence in support (they stole the election), so fact checks have to explain why that's still a false check.

Plus fact-checks are pointless w/o credibly-sourced evidence to back it up. So ppl follow link and miss next part of speech.
