These new figures prove that when people are put at the heart of Oxford Street, the area thrives and businesses benefit.
Thatβs why I am moving forward with the next stage of my proposals to pedestrianise Oxford Street and revitalise the area as quickly as I can. www.cityam.com/oxford-stree...

That heart-pumping dash to New Street - off the No. 50 at 13:43, and somehow on the 13:50 WMR to Hereford. Made it by the skin of my teeth, hauling a suitcase up THAT stairway! Brummies will know π₯³π

Nigel Farage Is a Racist The media is refusing to state the most bleedingly obvious facts about a man whose entire career has been devoted to pursuing a racist political agenda ADAM BIENKOV OCT 04, 2025 Nigel Farage is a racist. That is my honestly held opinion based on absolutely everything he has said and done since entering politics in the late nineties.
βThe second anyone suggests that a man whose entire political career has been devoted to attacking migrants and making discriminatory comments about non-white people, might be a racist, all hell breaks looseβ
Enough. Farage is a racist menace. We must say so.

A group of cyclists smiling in the rain during an evening ride through the city. Riders are wearing helmets, bright jackets, and waterproofs, with bikes of all sizes including childrenβs. Wet streets and umbrellas in the background show the rainy weather.
Brilliant effort from the Circle the City riders last night. π§π¨ It was chucking it down and blowing a gale, but that didnβt stop them pedalling on. πͺ

If this is true itβs disgraceful. Effectively decriminalising theft, empowering criminals and discouraging use of public transport.

Milanβs is still there, thankfully!
Youβre absolutely right about Stoney Lane too - itβs always been a bit of a nightmare.
I love my cycle rides and hate to miss them, but getting there and back safely is always a challenge. Itβs tragic that it feels that way, and it really shouldnβt.
The Ladypool Rd is one of Birminghamβs busiest and most vibrant streets. But poor parking, speeding and dangerous driving make it unsafe. Imagine what it could be with safe streets, space for people and thriving local business. Time to act - pedestrianisation must be on the table.

Everyone should be able to make the journeys they want, whatever mobility aids they use. This really important report highlights the unjustifiable abuse & danger mobility scooter users face, & shows why changes to mobility aid rules and regulations are so urgently needed.

Climate change is already damaging the nature, beauty and heritage we care for. Without deep and sustained cuts to emissions, nature faces an even more perilous future and the places people love will continue to suffer.
