News Corp wants to 'protect' kids. It's also happy to bully them for its readers Mainstream media outlets regularly bully primary-school aged children while pretending to care about youth mental health.

New from me: News Corp successfuly lobbied for the teen social media ban on the grounds of "protecting kids mental health".

Yet it has been bullying an 11-year-old child, exposing her to an audience of 400,000+ for ridicule and abuse.

It does this often. Other mainstream media outlets do too.

Imagine introducing laws to protect kids from how toxic social media is and... thanking News Corp for helping?

Every media outlet that uses social media as a distribution channel actively shapes the culture of those platforms.

These things are not separate.

Agree - as taxpayers we have already paid for the records

Govt's & agencies seeking to impose FOI application fees & processing costs reflects a punitive mindset of seeking to deter requests for transparency

& those same agencies & govts will spend far far more on PR without blinking an eye #FOI
