Of those 60 there were a handful of entire albums which I was able to find on Qobuz after the fact. I’ve checked for a few of the more esoteric tracks and managed to find all but one - an anime music track that didn’t have much for me to actually go on (from a playlist I didn’t create)

Giving Qobuz a try for the month. While transferring playlists from one place to another isn’t difficult, I find it amusing that the method recommended doesn’t match all the songs even though Qobuz has them available. Of the 722 tracks I transferred it couldn’t match about 60 or so.🧵

I read about the tobacco in one of the slack threads - @nibsandflourishes.bsky.social shared their Christmas bauble there - and the description from one of the Slackers made me laugh because it was easy to imagine. Still not for me.

I know what she meant (and I honestly am flattered) but I still had to laugh.

If I took the screw clasp off it’s got a jump ring that I could technically attach it to a collar ring. But it is bulky.

@sundazed.bsky.social and @trustedreveler.bsky.social both are reasonable guesses. But that would mean it would be for me… and this is an advent calendar for cats. I’m expecting all the things to be for the cats to play with or wear in some way. Nothing on the box says otherwise.

I didn’t go the JB route for kindle (I did think about it and decided it wasn’t worth it for me.) while I did dl all the books I wanted to keep and made them readable on the kobo the likelihood that I’ll reread many of them is slim as it takes me years before I can do so.

I can understand wanting to keep audiobooks and podcasts together. And absolutely no shade for using something that works for you. I understand how hard it is to leave that walled garden, having just crawled away from kindle this year after 16 yrs.

I’m all for payouts being higher. Understanding how these payouts actually work is important.

The payout might be higher, but what the artist receives is based on an entirely different agreement/contract. OR if the artist is a rights holder.

So I’ve been looking at possible replacements for Spotify and recently there have been a lot of recommendations to use Qobuz - aside from streaming quality, the primary reason most often sited is that they pay artists fairly/more. And yes, they do seem to pay out more per stream. 🧵

Ranma 1/2 was my first introduction to “comedic” anime way back when anime was first being ported to the U.S.- it was grand.

I think it just obfuscates the changes in the backend. It’s harder to locate/change settings. “Be upset about a design change instead of this other thing.”

iPhone? I updated about a week ago. The Liquid Glass thing is … odd. They’ve gone back to rounding edges. Since I only keep a few widgets on my main screen I don’t see a lot of the icons unless I search. Totally understand not liking the changes though.
