If you don’t understand the difference between abortion being an individual decision that affects only oneself & vaccine refusal being a public health choice that affects herd immunity & thus the health of your community, you have zero fucking business working in, let alone overseeing public health.

Perhaps anecdotal, but you get a fair # of responses from older folks who are married to whatever they think they personally encountered during the Korean War, or the like, as being correct and the best available information to date. There's a lot of 'we used beer and nobody died' energy.

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

I have a common MTHFR polymorphism, which is most prevalent in the Hispanic population. Folic acid (synthetic b9) isn't toxic to me, but it can't cross the blood brain barrier, which is essentially the issue. Natural forms found in foods are more expensive, but solve that problem.
