So anyway, here's where we were (Avon-by-the-Sea, Belmar, Jersey shore) for over a week before this. It was super fucking cold, but that's what wool long johns and ear warmers and rumpl blankets are for.

The Jersey shore was certainly Victorian! Same here. Cute place, really excellent water view. We're across the water from where we live, but it's somehow dramatically different.

We couldn't get into our house today. Frozen snow drift + bad plowing = insurmountable uhhh ice mountain. So we're "stuck" at a cottage on the island for a few days.
