To assume that the majority of Canadians would willingly give up their citizenship and sovereignty is not only untrue, it’s disrespectful. There is no need for – and no point in – disrespect or dissension between two of the world’s longest-standing allies. Through agreements, alliances, and partnerships, the United States and Canada have always worked together to the benefit of both nations.
