Interesting read but I dont see an example that can't be taught without algebraic division. You say point 1 is wrong. Why?

09.09.2025 17:19 β π 8 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0We used them for supplentary questions but still use the brown and blue ones which the students buy and we buy back at half price and sell next year. CGP were a lot cheaper and could be used with the teacher having the blue/brown books to supplement?

06.09.2025 11:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I can see this would be the case if the subjects are taught in parallel but is it the case if Maths sat in yr12 and fm in yr13?
05.09.2025 11:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I believe in that case you can use the calculator, in the same way that it solves simultaneous equations or does binomial or normal distribution calculations

I think this depends upon the wording of the question, sometimes it says use factor theorem, or algebraic methods

Along similar lines to yesterday's. Find the exact value of the green area.
Ok
04.08.2025 16:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is that because 411 is a rounded figure and not exact?
29.07.2025 19:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I replaced x with 12/13x and y with 12/13y in the original and got the 411 version I think π€
27.07.2025 17:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I think it is 13/12 in both directions?
24.07.2025 16:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have pinned the actual question on my profile. There is an original and 2 accepted 'similar' shapes the 350 version is not considered similar to me and those who kindly replied
24.07.2025 09:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Agreed but the 411 answer in that format is worth more than 1 mark π
21.07.2025 21:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Are you saying both answers are similar to the original?
