My 1080ti is dead, but a 9060 xt won't work with the chipset in my motherboard, but every mobo with this socket uses that chipset. This is the second time I've come to a, "This won't work ever, and isn't documented." in my life.

tl;dr X99 architecture won't work with AMD cards that require UEFI.
