That happens here too…we have buildings that are a rotating door of businesses trying to survive, but are deprived of foot traffic. Like you said, cars drive by and people stop in.

Well said. Would love to see measures taken to make upstate cities be more walkable. I live in Central NY and Syracuse has so much to offer, but it is mostly designed for cars.
