I would beseech the national media to stop writing sentences like one I just read that said basically "ICE's time in Minnesota is almost up." That is NOT an established fact. Please do not turn away. Please check the readily available information from people on the ground and local journalists.

I’ve see a couple mentions that both Georgia Fort & Don Lemon are independent journalists without the coffers, status, & lawyers of media companies to back them - with no acknowledgment of Black press being *forced en masse* to leave the field or go indie in the last 2 years or so.

I've been thinking about Philando Castile a lot today. He was the nutrition services supervisor at my younger brother's school in St Paul, although years after my brother attended.

He was licensed to carry, but was killed by police for the crime of owning a gun while Black, back in 2016.

You could actually structure your moral code around the idea that law enforcement doesn't exist to execute people. You don't have to create perfect victim narratives, you can just refuse to accept that the state gets to kill people.

National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.
