Wow
26.06.2025 00:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0People need to understand that the point is not "models are bad". We need multiple model forecasts and experienced meteorologists to help interpret which model prog is most likely. Because of the nature of nonlinear systems, we will never have one single model that always gives the best forecast.

29.04.2025 16:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is interesting. But it seems to be lacking some types of mid and upper tropospheric systems, as well as smaller scales.
22.04.2025 23:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The 2026 budget passback plan calls for eliminating NOAA Research, the scientific backbone that keeps weather forecasts, alerts, and warnings accurate and effective. This would have disastrous consequences.

The Trump administration plans to eliminate the research arm of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, close all weather and climate labs and eviscerate its budget along with several other NOAA offices, according to internal documents obtained by CNN.

A great program that provided opportunity.

This is a terrible downgrade for getting forecasts in mountainous and rural areas that are not shown!
26.03.2025 14:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is terrible. They not only got rid of the topo, but a lot of the other detail is totally missing. Why in the world would anyone do this??
