My pet theory is that Gen X and Boomers didn’t grow up around any immigrants and the fact that in 2025 (or 2016) immigrants are everywhere in America - not just in LA, NYC, and Utica - is freaking them out.

Younger gens were part of this transition and it feels much more natural for them/us.

Idk why it took me so long to appreciate this but SB 79 rezones the southwest quadrant of Sawtelle, which is the only part of the neighborhood still zoned single family. We’re gonna get so many more neighbors this is awesome.

And even though @cademocrats.bsky.social endorsed the legislation, only 42% of Assembly Democrats voted for the bill.

Ironic considering CA will lose 3-5 Dem congressional seats if we don't grow.
