Clouds with the sun behind them. The sun is behind those at the top with crepuscular rays over those at the bottom. The clouds are mostly grey with blue sky towards the top of the frame. A large tree is to the right of the frame, in silhouette. At the bottom of the frame are houses, trees and power poles with lines, also in silhouette, smaller as they are further away.

A mostly black cat sitting on the footpath, head turned toward the photographer. The cat is beside a wooden fence, at the join of two fences, with different colours, one grey one naturel looking. A plant is growing through and over the top of the grey fence. The frame is not in focus as it is just after sunset and the photo taken quickly before the cat moved away, and was hand held.

Can't live in Sydney and not post this bridge, though it's getting harder to find different angles to photograph

A waterfall style fountain with three seagulls. One of the seagulls is sitting on the rim of the fountain, with water falling over it. Another seagull is in motion, flying above the other seagull and the rim. The third gull is sitting on a fence railing behind the fountain. This is the fountain that was seen in the Matrix movie, otherwise known as the Lloyd Rees Fountain, named for the Australian painter.

View of a train platform as seen from the other side, just after 7am. Part of the platform is in shade. The orange signs on the seat and awning say Marrickville. Behind the station is a high black fence, that runs the length of the station beside a laneway. A low white fence is at the edge of the platform, just in front of the black fence. A tree is visible behind the platform. Behind the tree is a laneway and a two story building.with shops below and residences above is on the other side. The ground floor shops now mostly covered in graffiti and are empty.

A plant with red flowers growing in a garden bed at the base of a street tree. The plant is a geranium, more plant than petals. There is a dead flower on a stem with a spider web running between it and live leaves above it. There is a flower bud yet to bloom seen in front of the dead stem. Sunlight is behind the plant, so most of the plant seems to be glowing, with some the lower leaves are in shade. Some of the tree root is visible at the bottom of the frame, and grey road fills the background.

The window being looked at has reflections of the windows opposite. The window opposite is reflecting the office surroundings and the also window being looked at. The reflections are houses, water and boats, some trees, a building opposite with scaffolding, among other things.

He wrote about the river in his journal on his east coast exploration, and it was apparently part of the thinking of Botany Bay as a settlement site. Cook mapped it as far as I think to Tempe or thereabouts.

A river at low tide. The water is muddy, with reflections of trees on the banks seen on the surface. Mangrove reeds peek through mud, and pieces of rubbish sit between the roots and the water. It is mid afternoon on a spring day so parts of the frame are in shadow. A tree is on the left of the frame, blurred.

Could be almost any river at low tide, but this is the Cooks River so named after the explorer James Cook who first saw it in 1770, along with some rubbish to reflect its history.

Standing close to a tree trunk, looking up. The trunk is textured with bark that doesn’t reach the top. The bark is looser the higher up the trunk until the top trunk is smooth and silver looking. The leaves are green on the many branches visible. The sky is blue, and sunlight is falling on the trunk and leaves.

A person walking up stairs, carrying an open umbrella to keep the morning sun off. The stairs are half in sunlight, the lower half in shade. A handrail runs up the middle of the frame, dividing the stairs. There is also a handrail on the right of the frame that breaks in the middle for a level of shops. This rail has glass frames that continue to be a fence/barrier on the shop level. At the top of the stairs a person's head and face is seen, along part of a traffic light, a building and also an awning.

Close up view of a spider on a coconut liner of an unseen hanging basket, the back of the spider is seen. It had been an overcast day with the sun trying to peak out so the natural light is somewhat weird. The spider looks like it has a large ball of web held in its front legs. There is a bubble of what looks like a clear liquid on one of the spider's legs. The coconut fibre looks as though it is not what it is, thanks to the 4x zoom used to take the photo. One strand is in the foreground, seen across the spider, thicker than others in the shot and not in focus.
