Just saw a video of a guy walking through a field "executing" skeet shooting disks at point blank while saying this is the "feds cleaning up after the files come out."

Uh... you're literally shooting stationary clay discs from 18 inche away and strutting around like you're Frank Castle. Wow.

(I just had a sense I was going to lose. Sometimes you can tell. So I tried to surprise the other guy by turning my sword into a lawn dart. It worked, but I don't recommend it. But it DID work.)

Also as someone who has won a sparring match by throwing my practice sword into my opponent's chest as he advanced? Sometimes "what doesn't work in a fight" does work. It's just often really risky.

Even those armored knight fights and such have rules.

So maybe just let folks do what they're actually doing instead of pooping on what you're sure there aren't doing.

The "that won't work in a real swordfight" dudes snarking on these two ladies doing an impressively choreographed stage fight should realize they don't really do real fights either. They do "somewhat more realistic."

Nobody ever let's you punch, tackle, throw stuff, slam people into objects, etc.

We need to protect our rights and due process. Yes, kids, even when it's hard. ESPECIALLY when it's hard.

The sell out hippies, the sexual revolution types screeching about abstinence only sex ed, anti immigrant children of immigrants, etc.

These are exactly the types who in a decade or so will find some progressive issue they don't like and they'll sell out everyone and everything because it's all about them and their bullshit.

I've seen folks like it my entire life.

Now you could revisit a deal IF not testifying violates that.

But these "invoking proves she's guilty/ she should be punished for it" folks don't want freedom, they want to be the one in charge of the alternative totalitarian state they're dreaming of.

It just feels like it comes from this place of unhinged contempt many gamers have for the folks who make the things they claim to love. Like they need to make us useless, unimportant, etc.

Hence my thinking the dude's an asshole.

Frankly the guy acting like it's SO weird to want a different or new system sounds like an asshole. Maybe I'm just too old and have making and designing games for too many... decades... but that really feels like a "look at me!" hot take trying to find a viral moment.

I've seen well known comics artists who paint their work by hand being dismissed as AI. Movies with detailed making ofs for their effects that show the process. And so on.

There's no excuse and no being "upset" about the issue doesn't excuse you. I'm upset all the time. I still look stuff up.

One of MAGA's favorite tricks is to attack shit with abandon but no evidence and then if corrected act like any problems and errors are fine because "I'm protecting people from bad things!"

So no, you don't get to shotgun shit for a "good cause" and get credit. It's asshole behavior.

Funny I'm thinking about that...wonder why?

Because you get more out of things if you venture out of a comfort zone and don't assume something not laser focused on you is bad. Which is a serious issue too many have.

Because the action and the stories being told still worked. Did we miss some stuff? Sure. Just like I'm sure the old abuela I saw who seemed to barely speak English probably missed some English bits. But we didn't turn into an asshole over it.

Because we didn't get hung up on the idea that much of the show was in Spanish. (Not all of it. English speaking wrestlers and announcers were also there). We just had a great time. So did the folks whose Spanish was stronger during the English parts.

So this might be helpful for someone. Last night Lauren and I went to a wrestling event with a predominantly Latino crowd. Our Spanish is, at best, remedial (we're learning but it's a long process). Thus we didn't always know exactly what the crowd was shouting.

It was still so much fun.

I feel like that is so much at the heart of a bunch of MAGA issues.

That the best commercial was the Shatner one with all the poop jokes says something and it's not great.

Its like specificity doesn't mean crap... it just looks as trends and guesses and says "close enough."

And maybe it's not AI but it coincides with implementing it.

AI has made internet searching so much more annoying. It's like back to being vague and shitty after a brief period of being dialed in.
