Miller's desperate to invoke the Insurrection Act because he can see the FAFO consequences headed his way & knows a Trump pardon doesn't include state criminal charges. Pritzker has made it clear that he's going after Miller & everyone else behind ICE's gestapo tactics.

The Insurrection Act can be invoked “…to address an insurrection, in any state, which makes it impracticable to enforce the law.” If Pritzker uses the IL National Guard or police against ICE it gives Trump the basis to invoke the IA & deploy the US military against US citizens.

He's like a little kid who wants more toys to play with in his bathtub.

- the verdict must be unanimous for a conviction. Kenton Co went 60% for Trump in 2024 so it will be very interesting to see how this goes.

Having seen Kenton County Prosecutor Rob Sanders in action I can tell you that he could care less about his obligation to act in good faith. The facts, the evidence, the law and his oath of office are completely irrelevant.

KY misdemeanor cases are tried to a 6 person jury but here's the kicker -

It may be overturned but it is much more than "historically interesting", it's a Federal Court Judge w/30+ on the bench who isn't going to back down from defending the Constitution no matter how many times the Supreme Court rebukes him. This is how you save democracy & the rule of law.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for you because of your relentless work to expose the abuses by ICE and other LEOs, but this absolutely is a stereotype. Racism (and every other nasty -ism) isn't limited to any one race or determined by the color of your skin.

Message for every Democrat in Congress - way past time to force a vote and get rid of these guys. Then replace them with Minority Leaders who actually have the courage to fight back and are willing to do whatever it takes to save our democracy.

It's very unusual for an AG to be in a courtroom without one of their staff attorneys. My guess is that the attorneys & staff at her office aren't cooperating with this hot mess & Halligan decided she could do this on her own.

Here's the difference, those students could choose to pick grapes or harvest turnips. This is a call for compulsory national service wherein you have no choice. Unless of course you qualify for an exemption & you can bet that any follower of Donald 'Bone Spurs' Trump will qualify for an exemption.

Let me guess - he had definite views on who should be conscripted into national service and that did not include anyone who looked like him.

This guy is an ICE supervisor. Watch as he grabs this woman, shoves her across the hall into a wall & then slams her to the floor. She had to be taken to the hospital.

If an ICE supervisor does this in a public hallway w/multiple people videotaping, just what is he doing when there are no cameras.

Three men in plain clothes, no ID, force a man to the ground, handcuff him & then aim a taser at his neck. Then they threatened the guy videotaping this atrocity but backed off when he told them "I'm a combat vet and I will knock you the fuck out".

ICE claimed that the vet was "an agitator".
