For some, it results in GI effects at the beginning. It will lead to weight gain as you fill up your creatine stores (it's just water weight, but it will stay with you as long as you're on the creatine)

So basically since you can push a bit harder, you can then proceed to put on more muscle (in theory).
Your body has a finite capacity for storing creatine in your muscle cells, so taking the supplement really just helps you keep those levels as high as possible.

Yeah, some people get fancy with cycling it on and off, and all of that, but at the end of the day, it makes negligible gains, so I just do it daily.

The important thing IMO to understand about creatine is that it doesn't make you stronger, it simply gives you a bit more energy to push harder.
