RetroDotCards New games for the Nintendo E-Reader

A game I made for the GBA e-reader is now available in series 1 at retrodotcards.com . They are available for US and Japanese e-readers (in Japanese or English). e-reader cards are way less available than e-reader hardware on the second hand market, and this is a great way to actually use your hw!

You know your downloads are bad when 2 seems like a big day because the bar goes halfway up the graph

Does the y position increase as things move down the screen? If so you might need to check the player y < enemy y, and also sometimes good to check that the player is currently moving downwards

If you don't have control over the tile attributes or palette layouts, you could hide sprites in the hblank where the text box starts, and re-enable them in vblank
