If RFK Jr pulls this off, “big pharma” will respond strategically by moving *everything* related to vax R&D out of the US for good. Not temporarily, *permanently* — because our entire electoral system will become an existential risk to the corporations themselves. 1/2

💯 🎯 — That’s why I ignore anyone who babbles about going in the magical direction “back.” But the damage isn’t homogeneous: *some* institutions, initiatives, and networks could be built anew. But only with the trust and help of other nations. It’s that possibility the Dems are betraying.

When everyone else in the world gives up on the US, we won’t have any choice but to go it alone — and Trump & Co will have won. 4/x

In this respect, the Dems’ “leadership” — Schumer, Jeffries, Harris, Martin, and all the other timid, myopic little functionaries — are showing the world, and in particular the US’s historical allies, that there really is no hope at all. 3/x

A vigorous and viable opposition would help to convince them that Trump really is an aberration, and that there’s reason to hope that relations with the US can be rebuilt. But the Dems are utterly supine, and the most they’ve done is offer up some occasional, feeble procedural obstacle. 2/x

It’s important to recognize that the US’s allies might be more patient with us if the Democrats aggressively reached for every possible lever to restrain Trump’s excesses. 1/x

That neither/nor state is the rule not the exception. Queering Laundry isn’t just theory, it has immense implications for our immediate lived environment (e.g., furniture and other architectural affordances) as well the global environment (hotels have put this into practice for years now). 2/x

It occurred to me the other day that the clean/dirty laundry binary is oppressive, destructive, and inane, so I thought *maybe I’ll queer laundry!* EVERYONE relies on some variation of The Chair as a site of contestation and liminality — a place for things that are neither clean nor dirty. 1/x
