Denise Lorence: My daughter is the face of Operation Midway Blitz. I am reclaiming her legacy.
My daughter Katie would not want to be associated with an operation in which kids witness their parents being taken into custody.
Commentary: Losing a child unlocked a pain I never knew existed. Having my childβs legacy be associated with a politically charged and controversial operation instead of the positivity and light she contributed to those within her community is simply unbearable.

So, this is long overdue. We sold our house and moved right at the end of August and the whole month of September was a total wash. Itβs hilarious to me that this chapter (a long one) starts β¦
The entire month of September I failed to post a single thing at my site. Life was... well you know. Anyway, here I have finally posted a nice long chapter in The Davies. #writingcommunity #booksky #freeread

Boltonβs home raided, Gen. Kruse fired, Epstein coverup proceeds, seizure of 10% of Intel another step towards state capitalism. Just one day in the somewhat chaotic but directionally purposeful march towardsβ¦despotism.
Does anyone think theyβre doing all this so they can hand over power in 2028?

I love this. in 1999 my husband and I went to concerts together and he'd keep his arms up on either side of me to ward off any stray elbows in the pit since he still had a 3 inch scar from one. Now we listen to Classical (s/o WCRB) while driving our kids around in the minivan.

I'm not gonna play the Grief Olympics, but I know from experience that grieving a sudden death is different. Especially if it involves trauma. There's the getting your brain to accept that they're gone for starters. I'm 4 years out from my daughter's death and it still feels unreal.

So, I live in MA and I remember the last time the Board went up against ATD. They did not do well. I don't shop here anymore (Stop and Shop online has me in a choke hold) but they're always my second stop. They're a good employer under ATD. I hope they get to stay that way.

I think people wrongly believe that Newspapers (which are businesses) keep archives of old papers. We don't. When someone calls to find a pre-2003 obit, article or photo, I tell them to call the library. Even if it's 2003-2010 they have to have a print date or I can't find it in our digital archive
