Among the 28 points of the initial Washington/kremlin plan, one was a general amnesty for war crimes. This video footage shows Russian troops killing five Ukrainian soldiers, prisoners of war. This adds to the several hundreds such crimes committed by Russia.

I don't repost videos or screenshots of POW executions, but this is such an important point.

Trump is mismanaging the US relationship with Europe, it seems to me. The saving grace is that his role seems mostly performative.

The only plan that will work, long term, is breaking Russia in Ukraine. As long as Ukraine is willing to fight, we must be willing to help them do so.

Spare capacity isn’t infinite, it’s a buffer, not a bottomless well. If fuel shortages and queues in Russia aren’t already proof, the real strain is just delayed, not avoided.
