Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

Trump's reconciliation bill is the most dangerous bill I have seen in my time in Congress.

– 17 million lose health care
– 20% cut to food aid for families
– Adds more to the debt than any bill in history
– Energy bills spike 30%
– Guts US clean energy and cedes our edge to China

The vast majority of Americans were not sufficiently warned. When a Category 5 hurricane is nearing, it’s front page news. Instead, the New York Times buried this story on page 12.

So true! Much like in Oct. 2024 when the NYT ran their story "Ex-Chief of Staff Says Trump Would Rule Like Dictator" on Page 12. And even last month, they put "Trump Says 'I Don't Know' When Asked About Due Process and Upholding Constitution" on Page 13. Sheesh!

If only the New York Times had made this big of a deal in December 2022 when Trump called for “termination” of the Constitution. (That ran on Page 13. Yes, Page 13.)
