Another kitbash of a generic character unit in Phobos armour this time a Techmarine

A conversion of a Basilisk gun attached to a small set of cruciform legs, crewed by Krieg gun crew, all mounted on a 100mm base. The legs look very thin and wobbly in comparison to the huge size of the gun.

The new cruciform legs from the Arakne Autocannon Platform - built and unpainted.

The old gun mounted on the (much bigger) new legs - much better balance. The crew from the old 100mm base are now mounted separately on their own 60mm base, placed near the breach.

A front on shot. Overall this is much better balanced, the legs reach out almost as far as the barrel of the gun. Overall a huge improvement.

A few years ago I converted a Basilisk emplacement for my Krieg army. I loved the conversion and it's given much good service in battle - but with the new autocannon platform I thought it was time to upgrade to a larger platform that looks more balanced

While I like the variety having my Phobos unity in such scheme brings, it is much more finicky to paint on an Infantry model as opposed to a vehicle

A green, open topped Salamander Command Tank with an autocannon. It's covered in debris and bricks which have been blasted into its deck during the brutal cityfighting of the Battle for Tsaragrad.

Salamander number 5500 is commanded by Colonel Lelushenko, the brigade commander of the Valhallan 1,455th Tank Brigade during the battle for Tsaragrad. Lelushenko is brave to the point of foolhardy, ever eager to engage the foe at close range.
