In Belmont Cragin on Chicago's northwest side this morning, a rally is opening in support of day laborers outside the Armitage/Cicero Home Depot.

Activists are calling out the corporation for continuing to allow ICE and Border Patrol to stalk and attack immigrants in their parking lots.

Border Patrol grabbed workers from the front yard of a home in Edison Park this afternoon then took them behind an office building in Niles and passed them off to a prisoner van. Woman came out to MF them and said "you're in the most conservative neighborhood in the city and nobody wants you here."

Federal agents have tear gassed Chicago neighborhoods three days in a row. Confirmed gassings during recent immigration raids in: Logan Square, Brighton Park, Albany Park, Little Village, East Side, Lakeview, Irving Park and Avondale.

My friend told me that her 14 year old son started doing laundry on Sundays for some of his elderly neighbors. He doesn't charge for the labor. And now he is the most popular person in the building and has non stop pies, cookies, and cake. The 14 year old should be our model of modern masculinity.
