Today I'm also going to be testing the 5 Calls app, which I've heard is a free way to make it easier to call all your representatives in 5 minutes, and gives you a script if you need help articulating a message. I haven't tried it yet (and this isn't sponsored) but have heard good things.

Remember that half the country didn't vote for Trump. Over half the country didn't vote at all. Many of these folks are now seeing grocery prices skyrocket, seeing a billionaire getting access to their social security, seeing the chaos. If you were not engaged but are now, welcome. We need you.

We also saw representatives protesting in-person at the steps of the Treasury yesterday. And we’re seeing progressive reps taking action but getting blocked by the GOP.

Don't be discouraged if if you have a GOP rep– call anyway.
GOP reps are disagreeing with Trump, know many of his actions are unconstitutional (or illegal) but are afraid to vote against him, and are still blocking any action. Hearing concerns from their constituents builds the pressure to act.

A staffer said that the reasons lines were hard to get through "was a result of the Senate phone system which has a normal call volume is 30-50 calls per min, was getting 1200-1500 calls per min." Calling is the method right now.
