After a busy couple of weeks took it relatively easy and volunteered at Parkrun for the 50th time this morning. Barcode scanning, for a change today.

Quite glad I decided to catch a bus rather than my 8 mile cycle commute this morning! But. Also hoping it doesn't snow all day otherwise geting homr again might be fun!

Volunteered at a blustery Jesmond Dene Parkrun this morning, now I'm off to Carlisle ahead of running a half marathon tomorrow. Hoping the wind has died down a bit by then or it might be a tad irritating!

Volunteering at an autumnal Parkrun this morning. Expecting it to be busy as it's GNR weekend and it looks like lots of visitors!

Looks like the excitement of having a local team to cheer along in this year's #universitychallenge is short lived. At least Newcastle made it to the TV stages though.

Time for my annual 'oh #universitychallenge is starting again' post. I am genuinly surprised it's starting quite so soo after after the equinox, but maybe age is catching up with me!

Also, that includes stopping at all the red lights in the city centre. If I ignore the rules like lots of others on bikes I'd probably save another 5 minutes.

Chose today as the 1st day in about 3 months to choose a 50 minute cycle ride to work.

In related news today is also the 1st day in about 3 months it has actually, properly, rained.

I am now home, wet, and have discovered if I want to I can do my 50 minute cycle commute in about 40 minutes.🙃

Volunteering at Jesmond Dene Parkrun (rather than running) ahead of popping up to Edinburgh for the Half Marathon tomorrow. I'm sort of happy that it rained...

Oh. I mean the Austrian song was technically good, but it didn't grab me as entertaining, but if I'd have to put the songs in order of how much I want to listen to them it would be very near the bottom. Small mercies I guess. #Eurovision

Getting slightly worried we may be going to Tel-Aviv next year. Also do not understand how the UK got zero audience points. #eurovision

This is fun. Not a complete disaster for the UK, Sweden not winning and Austria doing well, which I sort of get if you ignore the question of how enjoyable it was. #eurovision

Time for the voting, and time to wonder what on earth the good people of Europe have been thinking! #eurovison

Hmm, no one really stood out as a winner. Maybe Finland, maybe Sweden, maybe Austria. Lots of contenders tonight I think. #eurovision

What have Italy done to deserve this tonight? Twice! #eurovison

I've seen this Swedish song in the semi-final and tonight and am absolutely not having it that this is anywhere near favourite. It's competent, likable novelty but that's all. #Eurovision

The Maltese backing dancers have gone even more minimal / braver on the underwear front than the Finnish singer. Mad song. #eurovison

Looks like the German correographers just forget to bring some backing dancers and just invited some local folk on stage to 'move around a bit' at the last moment. #eurovison

Tonight's #eurovison semifinal has had some classically unhinged euro-pop songs so far. Hoping the madness hasn't been front loaded into the running order.

#eurovison semi-final time. A few bland entries so far. It might be the novelty staging but I'm not bowled over by the Swedish song. If it's supposed to be favourite I'm not sire that to expect later!

Bet the #wdytya film crew were happy when they discovered they were following Leyton to Jamaica for a spot of filming! He could have called Aunty's Sandy from the UK first though, just to be sure!

I need to find them on I-Player. I've been distracted by snooker on TV for a couple of weeks and didn't realise the series had started. I've just had to Google Andrew Garfield to work out who he is, but it looks interesting.
