I just went and shoveled my nearest cross street crosswalks. File that under things I never thought I’d do growing up in the south.

I love it, but I’m also a southern transplant so it’s still novel for me. I think it will stay that way for a long time though. It’s so pretty to walk around in and adds to the season I think.

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

If only Nashville still had their district. It was gerrymandered away a few years ago. TN-9 is the only one standing and the VRA is the only thing keeping it from being cut up too.

The new apartment building just down Lawrence from the Metra station at Wolcott is also awful. The only part cleared is the area immediately in front of the Colectivo.

Whenever I feel guilty that the sidewalk in front of my building isn’t 100% free of ice and snow, I just need to walk by a Metra station and I’ll feel much better.

Not sure but they are the worst. Usually solid ice a few days after a snowfall.

I was just discussing this with my wife earlier tonight. We don't drive much, but have had to go to the NW burbs a few times over the last few days. The wild suggestions that Google maps was offering to avoid traffic on the Kennedy were crazy. Day 1, I took the suggestions. Day 2, no thanks.

Or, movies are art/entertainment and that means wildly different things to different people.

Gotta disagree on this one. Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars movie. I’ve watched it many times and still like it.

Did not expect to open this app and see Rogue One hate today and I just gotta say I disagree with all of it. It’s in the running for the best Star Wars movie for me and I thought this before Andor was even a concept.

Solo, on the other hand, I did not care for.

Just happened to look out the window and saw the unmistakable silhouette of a 4 engine wide body. Glad Lufthansa is still keeping these going. Most of three 747s I see are cargo.

Bears D this year has had the odd combo of giving up a lot of points but also a ton of takeaways. Fun to watch at least.
