It's good to be Sansa, Queen of the North.
It's not so bad to be Merry, either.

kids learn to read by being read to, and so it would be a great initiative.
i volunteer for dolly parton's imagination library, and their website offers tons of research of how reading to children helps them become readers.
read to kids, even ones who know how to themselves, whenever you can!
yay for vegan stoner moms. we shall abide, dude!
as a vegan stoner bubby, i guess i lived in nj 20 yrs too soon. we shall emerge from underground and bring you all to love plants... of every kind....
I love watching memories of these two as kittens. Sansa and Arya were my last foster kittens, because adopting them put me at 5 and I was afraid if I kept fostering, I'd keep adopting. (Merry and Pippin were fosters too.)
Since Sam passed, I'm jonesing for a little boy to snuggle. Save me!

a prayer to the Emissary:
The Sisko is wise, and we need his wisdom now. We await the Bell Riots, Emissary, as you have foretold, so freedom will return to our land.
O Sisko, we are ready! Bestow the blessing of the Emissary and lift the blight upon our land. In the name of the Prophets...
The sleeves are taking shape. Still plugging away!

Wesley Crusher and The Game
The incessant prompts to try AI on almost every screen experience day in and day out remind me of Wesley Crusher and The Game in TNG.
It also makes me want to go off the grid for good.
Not interested!
Things I won't do right now:
- share videos or photos unless i'm 100% sure that they're not AI generated, which to me means that i took them myself
Things I will do right now:
- believe that everyone deserves a safe secure healthy happy life, and do what i can to promote that.
Back 2 basics folks.

I reversed heart & lung disease by adopting this way of eating in 2018.
Small changes slowly...

This is only one way to help our communities survive until this madness is over, and maybe, like I did back in 2018, they will find that this is a sustainable, delicious, and healthy way to eat, and we will all lower our dependence on the processed food industry and lower our grocery bills.

Promote recipes that use more whole plant foods that improve health to lower medical costs. (I reversed heart & lung diseases following this way of eating since 2018. )

Here's a thought for support from a different angle:
Start a weekly "eat more plants to save $$ and stay healthy" campaign, based on the whole food plant based way of eating (not junk food vegan processed stuff).

you're a wonderful example, Dr. Richardson, of how to give service without letting go of self-care.
this is a time we all need to strive for balance. i'm working hard on my eating and spending goals in an attempt to stay strong.
thank you for everything you do... including getting enough sleep! π΄
Merry is critical of my creative efforts, and says I did not portray the beauty of her eyes well at all. I did ok with her coat coloring. Altogether, she gives it a 7.
She's right, of course.

As even more shit hits the fan, we need to take care of each other!
I just googled local food banks to find out where I can donate.
Those who can must tighten their belts to share their resources with those without.
Eating more plants saves money on food and leaves more to share with all.

COVID was like a crash course in home economics. Little by little I'm working on changing my self-talk from "I hate cooking" to "cooking is the easiest and most effective way for me to take care of myself".
Also trying to see cooking as a creative task rather than a chore. Sigh. Work in progress!
Frankly, it's all attitude. I came of age in the 70s and refused to accept domestic chores as I worked to build a career. So I had little practice at kitchen skills without a sous chef to help clean up after me.
I've been single since the day I adopted this way of eating, and I'm still adjusting! π§΅

26.10.2025 08:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Presurgery tests in 2014 showed the beginnings of heart disease and signs of pulmonary hypertension. I adopted a whole food plant-based way of eating in 2018, and tests done in 2022 showed these both reversed.
It's still hard for me to do this 100%, but my experience shows it's worth it to try.
This morning, I woke up and put this soup together in my continued effort to do more home cooking.
The added benefit of all the cooking is that my whole food plant based way of eating improved from 95% to 100% this week!
I reversed my heart and lung diseases eating this way since 4/2018.
