I also disagree with the notion that we need republican-lite Dems for rural areas. I live in one and everyone here wants what people in NYC want - affordable housing, good public schools, civil rights, letting people live how they want (lgbtq included), child care assistance, etc.

Only the most sadistic and cruel people would arrest a teacher at their school in front of children. The only point here is to terrorize kids along with the adults.

I was born in Queens in the 1960s and even back then it was the most diverse place in the world, due to the beauty of immigration. New York has always been an amazing mix of people, languages, culture, and food.
