Finished work at 3. LONG WEEKEND NOW. YAY.

I think so, and I'm glad it's helping. Every single person has challenges of some kind, and a little bit of compassion and understanding goes a long way.

I must admit though, I was wary it was just going to be another token "day", but, I think I am going to be surprised. It actually seems to have started a lot of positive conversations across the company.

I know!! I am truly surprised it's even actually gone anywhere. My store manager wasn't here when I spoke about it, but, apparently the other managers and some of the workers have told her about it, and she was happy for me that they might've finally realised now how hard it is for me.

Today is 6 months since I had my surgery. I was in hospital flat on my back at this time.

So, of course I said yes. I've only been waiting since the headsets came into our workplace quite a few years ago. They've tried before but didn't think there was a solution due to the age/type of my hearing aids, but, they seem to be going to try again, and I hope something comes of it this time.

OMG @zerogeewhiz.bsky.social GUESS WHAT???? Work higher ups saw the post my manager made on our work socials and contacted my store manager to find out if I wanted to follow up whether I can get an adjustment made to our headsets to make them more suitable for me with my hearing aids.

I've just ordered some live catch mouse traps after I caught the mouse that's been living under my stove by the arm... I feel bad. I let him go, but, honestly, I don't know that he'll live.

Mum and I took our cans and bottles, plus the ones from work, to the recycling. We then pooled our vouchers and had lunch at the Dimboola Store. :) Afterwards, I donated the money I got for the work ones to two charities, via paypal.

My current one doesn't. If I get new hearing aids that use Bluetooth, they connect to phones with low energy Bluetooth. I didn't even know there were different types of Bluetooth.

I don't really want to go down that route for this, because so far I can't even get friggin' hearing aids, but, it's something that might be achievable for me if I start saving before I need it.

Does anyone know with 100% certainty of any mobiles that have Low Energy Bluetooth? So many don't specifically say this, just "Bluetooth version whatever" - I need low-mid price but if you have any others, let me know, because my audiologist is thinking I might be able to get something through NDIS.

I'm putting my fluffy pants on, my fluffy socks on, and Slade, flat out. Today sucks.

This went well, I think I was surprised how little they knew about deafness, and it's funny really, but, they seemed to take more notice of me for the rest of the week to make sure I was ok and made sure I got information they tend to forget to share when I can't "just" hear it.

I had a prick of a day at work today. I cried. It was bad.

That's still ok by me, because I didn't even know they existed until yesterday.
