We have the chance this year to not only take back the House (or if we're dreaming, even the Senate), but to primary the hell of a lot of D losers and shift the party significantly to the left. We have the chance to lean on ALL of our reps to actually do something.

We didn't get Mamdani in NYC by giving the fuck up. We got him because he demanded what people wanted and a bunch of different groups on the left learned from previous fuck ups and united behind him and millions of people said "Huh! We actually CAN do better?" And we fucken did.

Also, for the doomers & deactivists out there... I'm making this list not because I expect the current Democratic Party to fight for any of this, but because WE have to decide what WE'RE going to fight for, and we have the biggest chance to remake the party in 2026 than anyone's had in generations.

I am very wary of new punitive carceral legislation, because as I have learned from listening to folks like @tamaranopper.bsky.social for years, right wingers will eventually weaponize any new law against the people it's supposed to protect. So I'm trying to keep that in mind here.

Strip US reps and senators from the right to trade on the stock market, invest in crypto, or bet/gamble through any platform other then penny stakes kitchen table poker.

In other words, you can't own a news org if you make money from any business other than journalism. Because otherwise you can't be trusted not to abuse your power in journalism to support your other businesses. Would that work? Dunno!

Repeal Citizens United.

Tax billionaires out of existence. Break up any company that's "too big to fail."

Pack the Supreme Court. Impeach all members who lied under oath during their confirmation hearings.

Defund corporations that push consumer-facing "A.i." Zero government contracts. Extreme, business-destroying penalties for disinformation, falsehood, and fraud.

Require cable providers to enable customers to selectively eliminate news channels like Fox from their subscription packages for a pro rated discount.

Abolish and defund ICE, of course. Eliminate qualified immunity for all law enforcement, federal and local. Only institute "reforms" that include permanent removal of funding as consequences.

Take every Trump cabinet member and official to civil court for damages against the populace. Strip them of all their assets and nationalize their companies. Leave them with nothing but whatever UBI and public health benefits are passed for everyone.

Cancel all government contracts with Elon Musk and his companies. Shut 'em all down.

Remove all government accounts from X.
