My plan for the weekend is to go through the hundreds of photos I've taken in the last few weeks and share some of the better ones. That's my plan. Will it happen? I don't know but that's my plan.

A fly landed on my leg and I saw my husband inching towards me with the swatter. I said, "you are not going to hit me with that fly swatter." He continued coming towards me and I repeated, "you are NOT going to hit me with that fly swatter!" Then the fly flew off my leg. I guess we'll never know...

There have been a lot of things happening in my life lately. Some good, some not so good. But too many. My stamina is down, and my thoughts get easily scrambled. I need September to be calmer. I need an emotional and mental reset.

We've been going to Winnipeg Goldeyes games for over 20 years, and my son always takes his baseball glove. On Friday evening, we went to a game to celebrate his 28th birthday, and he finally had a chance to use the glove, making a spectacular foul ball catch. Cheers and high fives all around.

That was quite the storm overnight. Spectacular lightning show. I always love a good thunderstorm.

Made a quick stop at the longitudinal centre of Canada today.

Rain, glorious rain. My husband left for a bike ride before the rain started. He is waiting it out at the shelter by the St. Vital Park duck pond.

I've been very sick for the last 4 days. Today I felt well enough to get outside and do some things. But it's so smoky here that I only lasted 10 minutes. We need rain. And no lightning starting more fires.

It has been such a difficult week with mother-in-law. I'm so tired of dealing with it.

Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦 So grateful to be living in this beautiful country.

Life has been complicated and exhausting lately. But yesterday my husband and I got away from the city for a bit. We found some rollkuchen, a buy 1/get 1 free deal on watermelon, and this Charlotte the spider geocache. It was a good day.

My 95-year-old mother-in-law asked if her parents were still alive. We said no. She asked if it happened a couple days ago. "Someone" told her that a couple was killed while walking down a country road and that it was her parents. She was relieved to find out they died over 30 years ago.
