Also, if people are dying in Ukraine and Gaza is no longer news then houses burning somewhere where wildfires are not surprising is not news either. I am sorry for those without a choice, but for those with a choice then it is a fact of life there like air conditioning in summer.

Unpopular opinion: if you live in a desert with dry forests and high winter winds then having wildfires should not be surprising nor avoidable. When that is in the richest country in the world, then it is not my moral obligation to give money either.
