It has posted the video but has failed to report on what it shows: it shows the US govt account is untrue

I could put it other way around and say it is US centric to think this is only about internal US politics.

My reaction to what is going on is to feel a sense of kinship with Americans who are suffering. It doesn't feel like it is just about America's internal politics. It feels bigger than that.

In my most optimistic moments (I am a naive romantic after all) I hope that this new social compact might usher in a kind political environment, and with it, a kinder life.

The mother of a friend of mine would take her sons to meet the local police (this was in Stoke, in the 70 and 80s) once they got to be teenagers so the police would be less likely to brutalize them.
