It's not often I get to go to the theatre, but I saw this in the Black Box Theatre in Galway. And it was great. Cillian Murphy is a force of nature on the stage. Much better even than on the screen. Very dramatic indeed.

In other words: It's the first (and likely last) time I've knit a sweater from the bellybutton out.

It's what happens if you have your heart set on the front and back panels and have to make the rest work somehow. 😜

The front/back panels of this #sweater are knitted in #garterstitch, from the centre out like a 10stitch blanket. Saddle shoulders, sleeves, underarm sections, waistband, collar all in 2x2 ribbing. All #handspun local #wool.

Ashford Castle in Co Mayo, Ireland, on a winter day. Access to the castle is via this bridge across the river. You arrive at the main entrance through the arch at the end. Looks very forbidding here, but it's the best I can do for today's #PalacesAndGardens #ThroughTheFrame.

I needed a bit of mindless knitting. Just plain knitting in the round. Had bits of very nice pure wool yarn in my stash. So the #Musselburgh it was. Another one done in bright red, no 4 in the works.
