The primary function of public transit isnโt to move people who canโt drive, itโs to move more people faster than cars. A properly designed transit system makes using transit more appealing to drivers. Slow and unreliable transit keeps drivers in their cars.

Tarantino movies have always been deeply misogynist - I love a violent action movie but he pumps out a constant debasement & targeting of women w/ violence. As a teen during his heyday it was hard being told these movies were the best when I was always left feeling so uncomfortable.

Iconic cartoon showing a single driver in a wide car taking up most of the street space. With many people crammed into the bus, bike and pedestrian space left over. Someone later added a voice box with the driver saying โDamn those bike paths and bus lanes taking all the space!โ
This iconic Fabian Todorovic cartoon is still one of the best Iโve seen at illustrating the remarkable amount of space we surrender to cars, leaving little space left for everyone and everything else. The text added later makes the bonus point that many drivers still manage to complain about it.
