If I can't sleep, around 1am I start to feel an intense sense of pointlessness that's hard to describe.

One thing I'll never get use to is how normal anime is now. You use to start an "anime club" at your school, & it was the same 5 guys into DBZ. Now I walk down the street & there's cars with anime stickers on them every few blocks. You will never know how crazy that is to me.

I think it's important to remember, with everything extremely fucked up and dumb right now, that at the root of it, fuck fuck fucking fucking fuck.

I put out a photon trap on my driveway and here's the catch!

The Pleiades, one of the nearest star clusters to Earth.

You can see brown interstellar medium dust around it—which turns blue where it is close to and lit up by the bright blue stars of the cluster.

idly, for folks reading for the Hugos that I wrote an essay that I really care about because it's about Kamen Rider but also Evangelion but also about young men in the shadows of their fathers and I think it would make a neat Best Related Work nomination imho
