What an adorable dog? Is that a yorkie? I wonder if it is easier for dogs to understand sign language or verbal commands?

I’m not claiming to have an answer, but perhaps it lies somewhere in landscape of occupations that recognize achievements of young males, and to broaden and change the landscape to reduce the more destructive outlets that emphasize violence, and increase those that emphasize skills and innovation.

Perhaps it is simpler than that. Perhaps the lure of feeling all powerful, no matter how terrible the result, draws in the seemingly future-less and powerless young male to its thrall for one awful moment of dispensing terror.

Not sure where feedback belongs, but when I share a skylight post I get a big fuzzy image rather then a crisp logo or image from the post… there was better content when I visited today, which is great, but a couple of kinks with blocking or β€œdisliking” a post.

Here's a shot I got in May of a Cliff Swallow colony on the central coast. There were so many nests I lost count and I can't wait to get back there in 2026!

Funding urgently needed to save Samoa's 'little dodo' from extinction Samoa's Critically Endangered Tooth-billed Pigeon, or 'little dodo', is facing imminent extinction due to deforestation, hunting and invasive species, reports BirdGuides. Conservationists warn that without urgent international funding for large-scale forest protection and monitoring, this unique and elusive bird could vanish forever. Tooth-billed Pigeon is one of the world's most evolutionarily distinct birds, yet remains poorly known, with no clear wild photographs and few recent sightings.

Conservationists are calling for urgent global funding to save Samoa's Tooth-billed Pigeon, a Critically Endangered species often referred to as 'little dodo':

One of my favorite summer neighbors, the Ebony Jewelwing! They flit around grabbing small bugs out of the air or perching along the paths and streams.

If nothing else, make this clear in your comment: INSECTS need a healthy environment, or else they die. We manage to lose the world's insects, we are finished as a species. There is no tech Elon Musk can drop that would pollinate all the world's crops before we all starved to death.
