Last night, I received notification of the 19th death of a detained person in ICE custody since Trump took office.

ICE is detaining people, mostly in private, for-profit prisons that put profit over health. And now they have furloughed the safety inspectors. This is unacceptable.

That's two Chicago journalists feds have arrested (that I know of) in the last few weeks.

We're less than 24 hours out from federal judge Sara Ellis entering a restraining order that was supposed to protect journalists, among others, from abuse by federal agents.

Great essay, esp this: universities are full of intellectual diversity. We study different things using different methods, we critique, we "debate so much that we put ourselves to sleep."

MAGA is really complaining about low % of MAGA voters in unis but political diversity ≠ intellectual diversity.
