Typeface nerds get one main thing wrong: typefaces are infrastructure and infrastructure should be as invisible as possible. If anyone who's not a typeface nerd is paying attention to the typeface then the publisher's done something terrible.

Had the loveliest morning making candles with mum then stayed in bed all afternoon recovering. Chill Saturday :)

Well, God the Cat disagreed.

Downsized to a smaller house. Found a mouse and, one day, humanely caught it. He was so cute. I ended up feeding and then freeing him. Now he pops up at least once a day to politely ask for food, and he trusts me enough to stroke him too. I named him Jerry, of course.

An unusual item in my collection, Mister Black’s Secret by Catherine Barr. At first it seems like an early example of cheezburger speech but it was actually written in a shortlived teaching alphabet called ITA.
