It feels like you get less encumbrance mitigation in 3. I cannot get my samurai to be better than slow as fuck without completely ripping apart his defense. Maybe by the end that will change though.

At some point I’m going to find out this isn’t viable and I’ll actually have to play on Nioh 2 difficulty by pulling out my Spear and scale mail and beginning the stance dance.

I’m just gonna be a Ninja for 95% of Nioh 3 so I don’t have to worry about stance switching and parrying. So far it’s working beautifully.

I love so much video game music these days that I just can’t do that anymore

Also, I have a lot of new music to listen to and it’s perfect for a game like this (where music is one of its very few weaknesses).

I’m not bad at them. And I love open world checklist games (if they’re not absurdly checklisty) where I can grind/farm, so Ronin was an easy thing to get into and finish. Nioh 3 will be even easier because I’m going to play the shit out of it.

I’m sorry. Their games usually go on sale fairly quickly, at least. Is GameFly a possibility where you are?

Agreed on both parts, and I don’t remember very well, but the difficulty settings might be why I finished it when a lot of people were saying it was too hard.

It’s definitely not as good as the Nioh games but at the time it was a fine replacement

I don’t know why but I didn’t have much trouble with it, and that’s coming from someone who has not yet finished Sekiro and might never.

I think the NPCs were a lot more helpful in that game than Nioh too, but I could be misremembering. Somehow I finished it lol

I am very glad Nioh 3 went the way it did with the open world despite the fact that nobody liked Rise of the Ronin except me.

Welcome to Derry being described as interesting is probably as accurate as you can get. The show is total hit or miss every scene, but the lore it provides is a little fascinating.

Night Country was interesting too. And Jodie killed it.

House of the Dragon is so visually dark that it’s hard for me to watch sometimes, so I’ve only seen the first season. I guess it’s ending soon-ish so I’ll binge it eventually. There was some interesting stuff in there.

Are you waiting for a full release or have you seen some of it?

I know a lot of people still avoid GoT, but I wanted to add my voice to the resounding cacophony: Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is as good as peak GoT. Arguably better.

Still some work to do but it’s pretty exciting to think about not losing over 100 games.
