I just came across the beginning 30 pages or so to a story I started probably 20 years ago. I haven’t read or thought about it in a decade, if not more. The opening character’s name: Lauren.

I love looking at pre-transition pictures of myself because I owe that person everything. They were so incredibly brave to take that first step, and I will love them always for doing that for me! 💗

Awesome day thus far. My evil, spiteful ex decided to out me on FB. And somehow, I’m supposed to be “more understanding” about how my life affects the person that I haven’t been married to for over a decade. Fuck that noise.

I think I just got out of my … 7th? 8th? time seeing Dark Knight in theaters. Counting watching on DVD up to 4k, I’ve seen it at least 30 times. And I will jump at every opportunity to see it in theaters that I can.

I’ve never felt better about life than I have in the past three months. HRT is lifesaving.

It’s overcast in the low 80s with a slight breeze. Today is my perfect day.

I’m not super stoked to have had to buy a new sports jacket for my niece’s wedding but maybe I can squeeze enough use out of it before I can wear other things.

Well damn. My 3 month follow-up just got pushed back three weeks. I was so curious to see how my levels were doing.

First laser hair removal session down. Not too bad but also not the way I’d ideally want to spend a few hundred dollars. Beauty is costly.

I’m not the type to go out or do things generally but I feel I need to … for Lauren’s sake. Maybe karaoke?

Well, today seems pretty terrible but I met another of us out in the wild today. It was refreshing having an in-person conversation with someone who has a greater understanding.

It’s basically been six weeks on feminizing HRT and I feel mentally better than … since I can remember. I’ve known complacency but I’m not sure that prior to a few weeks ago I’ve felt hope … or even excitement for the future. Maybe it’s a placebo effect (it’s not) but what would that matter?

When the topic of being trans came up, a good friend said: “I don’t believe it. You just ran out of other things to do.” So, I’m voluntarily joining the most vilified group in this current time for the hell of it? What the fuck kind of logic is that?

I have a consult for laser hair removal next week. The place I chose is supposed to be trans-friendly but I’m very apprehensive about disclosing everything up front. Is it normal for a normal dude to want his lower face lasered though?

@eitmonline.bsky.social From two different worlds: at Target, no one is “supposed” to have AirPods when the store is open. This is inconsistantly enforced. When I worked in the office, there wasn’t a moment of the day, outside of an “important” meeting, that I didn’t have AirPods or buds in.

An exciting past few days. I can feel breast buds, I hit my boob on a box and work and it hurt like hell but in spite of that, I feel unbelievably happy and … just relieved, in spite of all the other shit going on.

I won’t lie: even though everything says to be patient and HRT takes time, I was hoping for some drastic change after 4 weeks. I have sore nipples and maybe better skin but nothing else yet. I guess I’ll just continue waiting!

This man is allegedly 48-ish in Homicide in 1993. I’m hoping I don’t look this way in five years.

Welp, fun side effect of HRT is apparently … acne? I never had a big issue as a teen but I’ve seen a big increase in the last few days. On the plus side, I guess that means something is changing.

It sucks not having real hair to do anything with, but the fact that there are so many great and funky wigs out there makes it a little better. Any suggestions?

I had a med check appointment with my PCP last week and told her about starting HRT. She asked how it was going and I said “I feel great and much more … even keeled” even if that’s just in my head. She said as long as it’s helped my ever lasting anxiety, it’s a benefit.
