Agreed I think we may only see 1 change to the regular 11 in a Mo replacement. Incoming would say Jaquet & 3-4 others, 1 being straight in the team then 1-2 maybe becoming starters as the season progresses.

I probably wouldn’t consider the first 2 academy despite being young. McConnell could certainly take Endo mins+. Danns & Bajct I’d love to see but need to shake the injury curse. Beck I know next to nothing to be honest.

Hoping Scanlon can have a successful loan & be considered as the squad LB. Would like to see a slight increase in minutes for Rio & Trey. Not sure if any other academy players are quite ready to step into squad roles the best among them are still quite young.

Will be disappointing to not see them leave on a high, think you can safely add Endo to that group, potentially CJ too, hopefully not🤞. Think Right Forward will be the only immediate change in the 11 with a younger CM and possibly RB introduced over the course of the year.

Does Wharton & Szob behind Wirtz work, feels a bit flimsy to me would need some hard working wide forwards. Wharton with Grav & Szob as 8’s imo could work but would leave Wirtz starting wide in front 3 which isn’t ideal🤷‍♂️. Going to be an interesting summer.

One of the things bothering me about how people are responding to the Epstein files is that there are tons of conspiracies being created and spread about what’s in them, rather than people just believing the victims like they could have been doing for years now

True, to be fair that’s not something I’d taken into account, does also once again point back to some rather poor squad planning on the part of Hughes.

I’d always thought the idea of a sporting director was continuity, they can buy players plan the squad years ahead & limit the impact of managerial change. So regardless of backing Slot or not we need a CB rn, and at least 1-2 more in the summer depending on Ibou’s contract & VVD in 2027.

Agreed not signing a CB seems too big a gamble to me. I can under waiting for the the ideal one, but we need 2 in the short-mid term and probably a 3rd in 2027 when VVDs’ contract expires, I can’t understand why we won’t bring one forward to this January.

While Imo Arne is fair from blameless in the current situation he was also suffered through some unfortunate circumstances and strange recruitment, if he has full support of the Directors then Hughes should be sitting beside him to answer questions regarding the direction recruitment chose to take.

I can see an argument for short term pain for long term gain, I think increased because the back end of Jurgens tenure wasn’t the best re squad rotation & contract renewal. But if this is the case I think the sporting director should be more vocal in regards the long term vision.

We have all criticised Konate for his performances this season despite knowing about the Jota factor. Who knows how long he’s been worried about his dad too. He can’t phone it in at work like we all would in similar circumstances.
