WOOOO! Congratulations! Fingers crossed!
09.02.2026 21:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, I did it that way for years and it was too painful so I'd give up for a few months/years. Lol. I decided to finally get the list done first and send em all in one big batch. Rip the band aid off, as it were lol
09.02.2026 20:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well, it worked. I went down an ADHD hyperfocus hole. π I sent out 50+ emails last week, I have 45 going out tomorrow morning. I have 1 read request from a manager I'm trying not to get too excited about, but he's gotten people staffed on all my favorite shows. Fingers crossed! #scriptsky #becool
09.02.2026 18:16 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0For the record. This has about doubled since I posted this. Fingers crossed for more jobs for all of us! #scriptsky #filmsky
09.02.2026 17:42 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0TFW you try to take the 3D Model from the concept artist, try to convert it to be used in After Effects but trying to get things to work in Blender feels like dialing a phone with a stick, through 4 feet of mud. Another day!

29.01.2026 20:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0OH DAAAAAAAAAMN! After Effects just integrated 3D! It's not as customizable as a dedicated 3D graphics program but it's opening up... #filmsky
29.01.2026 20:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh I'd love that!
27.01.2026 23:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I loved him as Remington Steele β€οΈ
27.01.2026 22:32 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I loved Pierce Brosnan, too! I wish he'd been able to take the job years before when they first offered it to him (sadly his wife passed so he turned it down to grieve) His movies ended up being some of the most over the top. And I loved it. Would've loved to see him do more grounded versions too!
27.01.2026 22:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I watched this on Netflix the other night and forgot how gritty and brutal this movie was. A sharp contrast to the way the Bond franchise had been going. More and more over the top to the point of parodying itself. It was such a welcome and surprising change of tone.
27.01.2026 22:21 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dame Judi Dench as M in Casino Royale (2006)
And let's not forget when people got outraged because Dame Judi Dench was cast as M? She drops her first line and holy shit, most badass M, EVER! (Sorry Ralph)
27.01.2026 22:21 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Daniel Craig as James Bond in Casino Royale (2006)
It's been 20 years since Casino Royale. Daniel Craig has pretty much become the definitive Bond. There's a generation that have grown up with ONLY him. For the record. He's my favorite.
...remember how mad people got when he was cast? "He can't be Bond because he's blonde!" π #Scriptsky
Y'all. I live downtown. Between my neighborhood in the arts district and downtown-downtown, I've already seen, like, 5-6 productions shooting THIS YEAR! That's probably more than I saw in all of last year. What's this? Hope? #scriptsky
P. S. In addition to writing, I'm also an editor #Looking4Work

24.01.2026 04:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Anybody else watching #Ponies on #Peacock? I love a spy movie/series, this one has such a fun & unique take on the genre. Funny, often over-the-top, then drags you back down to earth with heart-breaking dramatic or tense scenes. Great casting, an incredible central relationship! Much rec! #Scriptsky
23.01.2026 22:30 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0I mean, you've gotta have your priorities!
23.01.2026 06:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's all "We see"s, isn't it?
20.01.2026 20:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, I like that ending, it's a solid, external goal.
"When an enigmatic young girl shows up on her dead motherβs doorstep, a woman haunted by the literal ghosts of her past"
I'm confused as to who's the main character. The girl or the woman? What's with the dead mother?
If "charismatic young man" is our main character, what other words could you use to describe him? Something with a bit more bite to it?
Maybe shorter?
"A charismatic young man tries to impress his long-time crush by luring her into his mock cult, which blows up out of his control"???
Fake cult?
I'm always bummed when I hear people blame this sort of thing. It's rarely the case.
18.01.2026 00:56 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There's a whole cottage industry based around telling new writers they shouldn't write like professionals. It drives me bonkers.
A contact once made me strip the personality out of a script because "it wasn't professional" The script went from great responses to ignored. NEVER AGAIN! Thank you!
Incidentally, I got this logline form from the legendary
@carolekirschner.bsky.social
. I highly recommend her courses, she's absolutely incredible!
