All it took to enable enhanced conversation continuity in Neural Recall was a clever system prompt, written by the AI that's using it... Amazing! It's now telling me how to connect the memory to external data sources to "learn" without learning... (Passive learning)

Yeah, all I have to say is, This is what happens... Something most North Americans fail even to ask is "Does this place want to change?".

This is not even remotly the best system I could put it in. This computer its running in is my old FX-8350 overclocked to 4.2-Ghz constant, all cores, with maxed out DDR3 RAM. A far-cry from the optimal AI system. Hell, my SSD died, and its using an HDD to run all this. VRAM is key!

When you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything... If I had listened to the morons who told me this card was terrible for gaming and AI, I would have missed a real gem. This is not just a GPU, its a $450 CAD, POWERFUL AI Accelerator card. It works, I have reciepts. #AI #Homelabs

TIL, it's cheaper to run a larger AC with an inverter than using a smaller one that is supposedly "Energy Star Rated". The larger unit is 6k BTUs and cools my office and servers. Despite that, it still manages to cool my whole house using 275 watts in 28 °C weather. Vs. 440 watts. #Smarthome

Seeing that only made me more determined to find solutions to these problems. Climate change is here, and it's FAR worse and more advanced than the models predicted. That is lucky, but also would be like watching the apocalypse unfold, I can only imagine... I passed through Lytton last summer. That was an experience I won't forget. It felt like driving through an area that had been nuked... Charred trees for miles, and bone dry.

On the tech side of things, there is a whole host of new gear and techniques that could be used. If we had this model, one of its goals could be to evaluate and mass-produce this new experimental equipment. Lots of good ideas, but no one wants to pay to develop them.

We do. This problem is only going to get bigger, and we need everyone to work together on this. Coordinating this on the national level, having resources and the "best minds" working on this problem is what's needed. Also, we need to focus more on new tech. Space-based monitoring is a good start.

Sorry, bit of a tangent, but I guess to sum it up is I feel Canada is our own superpower, and we should be. We try an do things the right way, and we make fair deals.

Now, my view is, how can we exploit this country even more? Also, the heavily subsidized oil they were getting, our energy, ends now. If they want our oil at those rates, we better be getting back refined gas with a 50% or more discount... Considering we also provide them with energy to refine it.

I, for instance, used to see them as the "Leader of the Free World". That country you DID NOT screw with—biggest military, etc. Post Trump 2020, I'd say half of that illusion was broken. Trump 2025 Annexation Threats shattered that. Now, I see them as a weak, pathetic concept of a nation. 2/2
