Bushbabies have captive breeding programs in Japan, Indonesia & Thailand. They are listed as Least Concern & are abundant in Africa. They live only 3-4 years in the wild but up to 16 years in captive environments.
They are often kept as pets in Africa as they are very friendly & gentle primates.

Ketut has 2 Galagos/Bushbabies from a captive breeding program in Jakarta immediately jump onto him as he meets them for the very first time.

My next Lemur portrait in process using Procreate on an iPad with Apple Pencil. I love how I can use a reference image full size next to my painting.

The Greater Coucal with its distinctive calls, graces my garden from time to time.

The Tokay Gecko is ubiquitous to most homes in Indonesia. This guy hangs out in my livingroom & sleeps behind a huge framed painting on the wall. The make a really loud Geckoooo sound to call for a mate. There fav food is flying termites.

Asian Palm Civet from Borneo. Also called the Small toothed civet, Lemur Civet & Musang Akar which translates to Root Weasel in Indonesian. The Musang Akar is considered the gentlest & friendliest of the Indonesian civets. Many Indonesians even ride on their motorbikes with their pet civet cats!
