It's not quite finished yet, but we've rolled out an updated version of openelections.net that focuses on the latest updates to our data and has individual state pages. Kick the tires and let us know what you think!
05.08.2025 19:45 β π 4 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0A hex map of the United States, titled "Progress of 2024 precinct data." Most states are still colored grey, indicating that our team hasn't yet cleaned and posted their precinct-level election results. 17 states are now bright pink, indicating that we HAVE collected, cleaned, and posted their data! Pink states are: MT, MN, SD, NH, IL, KY, TN, VA, DE, NC, SC, DC, FL, NM, OK, KS, and HI.
If you've been following our precinct-level data closely, you might have noticed some updates last week! We've now added Hawaii, New Mexico, and Kansas to the 2024 dataset. Check out all of our available states on our GitHub: buff.ly/k6S0zTU

14.07.2025 14:15 β π 40 π 23 π¬ 3 π 1Not sure, but with Oregon it might be the case that the hard part is linking precinct names to the actual maps.

18.06.2025 18:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are some states where it might be possible to do this, but we would strongly discourage vibe coding this. It requires substantial domain knowledge.
18.06.2025 16:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We have very, very bad news for you about the decentralized nature of election results.
More seriously, there are states and counties that do not post their precinct results online, and those who only post image PDFs, and those who demand payment for them.
New post: How @openelections.bsky.social uses LLMs (it's mostly for handling image PDFs).
