For over 50 years, families have gathered in Ladner for a community breakfast that has become a multigenerational tradition. This event is made possible by the volunteers and local businesses who plan, prepare and help keep this tradition strong.

Planted in Delta in 2017, this descendant of the oaks from Vimy Ridge was a gift from the Hon. Carla Qualtrough. It stands in Memorial Park as a living tribute to the courage & sacrifice of Canadians who fought for our freedom.

Visited the new commemorative crosswalk at No. 3 Road and Anderson Road in Richmond with my colleague Parm Bains, MP for Steveston–Richmond East. Thank you to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 291 and the City of Richmond for this meaningful tribute honouring those who served.

Thank you to the City of Delta and the Royal Canadian Legion Branches #289 Tsawwassen and #61 Ladner for the We Remember Veteran Street Banner Program, honouring local veterans with commemorative banners displayed across the city.

The first annual Augustine House Art Show brought together an incredible collection of work from residents and local artists.

Agriculture is central to Delta’s economy and community. I joined the Honourable Heath MacDonald, Federal Minister of Agriculture, the Honourable Lana Popham, BC Minister of Agriculture and Food, and Ian Paton, MLA for Delta South, for a tour and roundtable on the future of farming.

Small Business Week is about recognizing the entrepreneurs who drive Canada’s economy. Alpine Air at Boundary Bay Airport is a great example of small business growth in Delta. Our government is helping businesses grow, compete, and lead with new tools and support. #DeltaBC

The City of Delta hosted its inaugural DIYAFest celebrating Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas. The event brought our community together through culture, performances, food, lights, and music, showcasing Delta’s diversity and unity.

Honoured to be part of today’s gathering at Tsawwassen for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We reflect, we remember, and we walk forward together with truth in our hearts and actions in our steps.

On Saturday we celebrated 50 years of GCT Vanterm. For half a century, GCT Vanterm and Deltaport have anchored Canada's Asia Pacific Gateway, connecting us to the world. This milestone belongs to the workers, families, and communities whose dedication keeps trade moving.

This summer we met with stakeholders, including Minister Gregor Robertson, on non-market housing. Build Canada Homes launches with $13B to deliver 500,000 homers/year, using Canadian materials and workers. This government is building differently.

Delta came alive this past weekend for the third annual Barnside Harvest Festival, celebrating music, artisan, food and amazing beer. Thanks to Ken Malenstyn, Barnside Brewing Co, and the organizers, it was a weekend that truly brought Delta together.

This summer, #CanadaSummerJobs created 175 youth jobs in Delta, bringing over $700K in local benefits. I was glad to meet young staff from the Boys and Girls Club and Delta Chamber of Commerce, seeing how CSJ is helping them grow and contribute to the community.

Backroads Market is in full swing this season, and it’s the perfect spot for fresh corn and berries.

Here in Delta, we are lucky to have dedicated farmers supporting our community. Let’s keep them thriving by buying fresh, buying Canadian. Supporting small farms means supporting our community

Last week I joined my colleague & friend Ernie Klassen’s community BBQ in White Rock–South Surrey. Great to connect with constituents, meet former MP Gordie Hogg & spend time with community members. Conversations like these help us build stronger together.

Buy Local, Buy Delta! I grabbed my last box of blueberries from Didar Farms today. Agriculture is a key industry in Delta, and local farmers make sure fresh food reaches our tables every day. Enjoy these berries before the season ends!

Delta Pride matters every day. This week I joined the first Pride Dog Walk in Ladner, where pets and families filled the village with colour, and the Pride Picnic at Memorial Park with music, food trucks and community. Our community and our country are strongest when we are united #DeltaPride #Pride

I toured the set of Allegiance, a Canadian drama filmed in Surrey. This production employs over 200 local cast and crew, supporting jobs across the film and television industry, boosting local businesses, and contributing significantly to the Canadian economy while telling Canadian stories.
